Somewhere between marabou and spey hackle, Whiting Farms Bird Fur is the natural material you didn't know you needed. Ideal for streamers, leeches, buggers, intruders, tube flies, baitfish, and shrimp patterns. As a sustainable replacement for Heron, Bird Fur moves in ways the synthetics just can't. Ditch the synthetic craft fur for your baitfish patterns, and try Bird Fur as a softer (and way less stinky) version of bucktail . Use as tailing material in place of marabou or for long undulating fibers at the head of a swing fly. The stems are fine & strong enough to be palmered onto the shank of a hook. - The staff @ BRT
